Even with the power being out in our house as I write this, nothing can stop the mixes. I'm still reminiscing on San Diego but the energy boost it's given me to get stuff done has been needed. I haven't been centered and focused in a good while and I don't know why. I think I got caught up with the motions of life and trying to have that balance. In reality, it shifted me farther off path.
We lined up a couple more guest mixes in the coming weeks/months and I'm blessed to have people who want to share sounds with me. There are so many individuals/groups that are killing it and being able to collaborate with them really keeps my energy up. There are so many incredible brands/DJs/creatives that are carving out their own corners of the universe and each of those unique perspectives help grow my own perspectives, both personally and professionally.
I've also been trying to consume design media and advertising/marketing at a massive rate. I enjoy the conversation that I can bring to the table but being able to showcase it visually with the same amount of power as the language itself would be incredibly striking. I think it could really help define my position's uniqueness and help add onto what I'm trying to build as a part of my world with Boolah Radio.
I think Melo was the first real basketball player who I could put a face to a name to a game. I knew he was a superstar from the get-go. I remember being a kid seeing him tear it up for Syracuse, then with the Nuggets, of course with the Knicks, and even in his time with the Rockets and the Trail Blazers. He showed his work and his game is timeless. His destiny was always to be himself and hoop on whoever was in front of him. Did it his way and he made it to the Hall of Fame. Stay Me7o. Always Me7o.
