Born in Boston and now living in Dover, Delaware, smoothhhhh is a DJ, producer, graphic designer, vinyl collector, and the final guest mix of 2024 for Boolah Radio's "Year of the Gang." It makes sense for smoothhhhh to close out the year—he was the first-ever guest to mix on Boolah Radio, debuting with Mix 006 back in January 2023. A music enthusiast through and through, smoothhhhh finds his future beat inspiration through the likes of Joe Kay and Soulection, J.Digs and UP Records, Cocoa Sensai and FUNKVIBE, Andre Doughty, savvv with jussslisten radio, woahnellie with NightTide FM, and ave harris. Always an avid record collector, smoothhhhh recently reignited his passion with Tyler, The Creator's latest exclusive release pressing. Over the years of DJing, smoothhhhh has remained a disciple of finding a good flow state and experimenting with new sounds.
"(I) Vividly remember creating the idea (for FREERADIO) from scratch while having some great late night sessions gaming, and listening to music with my best friend, ave harris fka mr.geniusidiot. He had introduced me to Soulection at the peak of there sounds, learned about J.ROBB & Isaiah Rashad, and saw both live. After watching & getting the energy from the live shows, I wanted to emulate the vibes and sounds with my own friends. Learned how to DJ in 2017 and has been a major part of my life ever since. Been able to meet countless likeminded creatives all across the country and outside it as well.”
